Default Hi all, another noob.

Actually, Im not even considered a newbie as I havent done anything. I have seen engraving work on guns and bikes for years and always wanted to learn how. I never really found the resources. Like a lot of others, I have been doing artwork for many years of all kinds. Last year I had some help getting into leather tooling which I have had some success at in a short period, but always learing. Then I thought, with the net there must be better and more resources on engraving as I had not looked into it in some years. And whala, here it is. so I joined up in hopes to see if I can get educated enough and find enexpensive enough way to see what I can do. Like any great craft, it takes time and effort, good tools and most of all knowledge. So my plan is to look around, ask questions, and just see where it takes me.

Really, if I could get to the point I do some nice scrollwork on some knives and maybe guns, I would be happy. just like the leather thing. I started with., I just wanted to learn how to tool. and as I got better your realize, but its really better if you tool on something that is made to DO something. more tools, more learning. but its all good. I just dont have the thousands to throw at a new hobby either. but I would like to do some engraving along with my tooling. so IM starting here.

I will update my profile soon as I figure out how
