Default C. Hunt Turner engraved S&W model 60

Roger, here are some pictures of the Chief's Special engraved by Mr. Turner in about 86 or 87. The officer I got it from had known him for years in St. Louis, then the officer made a move to the Houston area and became a railroad dick. He was back in the St. Louis area for vacation the summer of 86 or 87 and went by Hunt's shop for something or other. Hunt got him to give him his BUG, and come back in about a week before he goes back to Texas. When he went back, he had engraved it like this and bobbed the hammer. Wouldn't let him pay him either. So as you no doubt know, an old cop giving up their trusty old back-up gun in a trade is almost unheard of. I do feel blessed and thanks for the information on Mr. Turner.

Thanks for the pics. It's been a long time since I've seen Hunt's work.

I'm glad someone here knew the guy. BTW, when I got the gun, it had the original grips, sweat stains and all. These presentation grips were donated by Mr. Turner and were never used until I put them on. Thanks again.
