Default New to you

Hello I just came across this forum in my search for custom knife makers.
I have been making knives for about a year and would like to learn engraving
I have some friends that build muskets and they engrave a lot on them, they always turn out wonderful. so I registered to see if i could learn anything from the experts.

Thanks for having me Darin..

Welcome to the forum!

There's a really nice tutorial on getting started in the Tutorials section plus just tons of information throughout the forum.

Steve Lindsay has added a nice little 'try it out' kit to the engraving tools page linked up at the top of this page. It's a graver, a handle, and a minimum sharpening kit - a properly sharpened graver is the key, btw. It would let you see if engraving really is something you like.

Also check the 'AirGraver Networking' section to see if there's someone in your area who'll let you try out the fun toys!
