As I stated earlier I am currently deployed so I will not be able to attend a resident style course or use power tooling. Does anyone have a suggestion on how I might be able to learn while I'm overseas? I realize this might be a crazy question but as I get older I realize time flys past. I'm truly excited to have access to this forum Thank you all for your assistance. Any information would be greatly appreciated.
Hi Ko155,

Welcome to the Engraving Forum.

I dont know how available resources for engraving are in that part of the world.

Your best bet would be to read up from books and use manual palm push or h/chisel in any rotating bench-vise to practice and start off ;

Manual tools-( in your free time)

For learning at present.

When back home get all all you afford.Including a starters engraving course for someone near you ;

You can ask and learn on the Forum too.
