Default How much is 1 trillion dollars?

Recently a friend tried to explain how much one trillion dollars is so I could get a grasp of just how big it really is. Here is his explanation.

The thickness of a currency bill is .004"
Take a $1,000.00 bill for these measurements, stacked:
$1,000,000=4.9 inches
$1,000,000,000=63.9 feet
$1,000,000,000,000=63.9 miles

A $1,000 bill laid end to end to equal $1,000,000,000,000 would be approximately 96,000 miles, or 3 3/4 times around the earth at the equater.

And congress is talking in Multiples of trillions of dollars!
