Default another , quicker monogram

On this job the client is familiar with my work and wanted JPC in script. The P is a bit problematic with script being in the center, so I crossed a main line with a mainline, if you are careful it can work, and to quote my good friend Marcus Hunt "If you know the rules, you can bend them".
Since the client and I have worked together before no finished drawing is required and I just did a quick working sketch for my own use, and rather than transfering, I just penciled it on.
1. The stock
2. The sketch.
3. Drawn on with pencil.
4. cut the first outside line
5. cut the second inside line.
6. cuthe third inside line.
7. Cut the seconday cuts.
8. Finis

I'd also like to add my thanks, Barry. In another field (not engraving), I have also made an attempt to share as much as possible with tutorials, photography, and descriptions of my work. So I do know how much work and effort goes into it... having to halt the project, pick up the camera, get the shot, then continue working. From there, photo editing, descriptions, and posting takes more time.

So my hat's off to Barry, Steve E., Steve L., and every other artist on this site who makes the effort to post tutorials, photos, and descriptions of their works in progress. Thanks guys! It is much appreciated.

Barry, that was simple and elegant. I have to commend you as we have a great many excelent, professional engravers who subscribe to these engraving sites, but rarely exhibit the work they do. You however are always forthcoming and upfront and for that I thank you. I for one greatly admire your work and artistic talant.

You are The Man!!!
