Question Hello and a quick question

Hello, this is a great forum! As a scrimshander, I'm thinking I should change mediums after seeing some of the beautiful work!

My quick question comes from several inquiries at my site, which is:

Where can I sell my old piece of scrimshaw from (my grandmother, my ex, etc.)?

As eBay is out of the question, and most of the people that are asking just have one or two pieces they're trying to sell, is there an avenue other than say, etsy that would allow people to sell their unwanted scrimshaw or ivory?

Thanks in advance, now back to perusing the site!

Andrew Perkins,

Hi Andrew,
Welcome here!
Have you seen the work of Katherine Plumer and Ron JR already?
Their work makes me drule, truly fantastic.
Any chance of seeing some of your work?

Greetings,

Daniel

Thanks! I've got one there, too. What amazes me on Etsy is the span of prices for scrimshaw - from $10 up into the hundreds, sometimes thousands. Many of the lower priced pieces are very nice, too! What's the name of your store there?

Yes, Katherine's work is stellar, and I'd never heard of Ron Jr. before, but immediately went to his site - fabulous work! I've tried my hand at nudes (two so far), one is still a work in progress, one began to stain, so I had to sand her down again - that hurt!
Added some of my work in my "scrimshaw - sold" page.
